singer at San Francisco's Castle Folk Club, and a regular
at the Hyde Street Chantey Sings, Riggy is heartily
appreciated for his unique style. |
Shay Black is an extraordinary guitar
player, keyboardist and singer. The eldest brother from
Dublin's first family of Irish traditional music, The
Black Family, Shay has many recordings to his credit
and is frequently seen on both sides of the Atlantic
at folk music festivals. While living in Liverpool,
he came to international acclaim as the shantyman in
Stormalong John, and later as a stellar musician and
singer in the Irish group Garva. |
Dick Holdstock is the acknowledged
shantyman par excellence throughout America and in his
native England. He is a frequent performer at Mystic
Seaport with Allan MacLeod, and their many recordings
are best sellers at seaport bookshops.Dick's mandolin
and plectrum banjo playing brings a jaunty, rollicking

Peter Kasin is an amazing fiddler
and an extraordinary shanty singer. He has successfully
organized music for festivals, concerts and shanty sings
in and around the San Francisco Bay Area. Peter tours
annually with the San Francisco Scottish Fiddlers and
can also be heard on various nautical albums. His knowledge
of sea lore and music lends authenticity to the performances
